SUMMARY:Warhammer The Old World Gaming Day Event
DESCRIPTION:What: a gaming day event with 3 games\, using 1500 pts armies\, with objectives of having a good time\, with no competitive element. 7 tables. \nEach player will bring an army of 1500 pts following the normal rules for army creation (Legacy armies are of course welcome)\, their dice\, ruler and above all\, fun. \nPainted armies are preferred\, but unpainted models are allowed as well. The goal is to meet with some old and new friends and have a good day of gaming. If it pushes you to higher modelism efforts\, great! But it’s not a competition. \nMiniatures aren’t cheap and many of us have embraced to varying degrees 3D printing and other means to enjoy our hobby. Proxying is allowed\, but please make sure it is consistent and that units can readily be identified. \nSame goes for basing\, I’d recommend rebasing to the new standard\, but if you don’t it’s no bother. Just keep it consistent.\nEveryone has varying degrees of experience\, there’s no pressure to know all the rules all the time. I’m sure more experienced players will be happy to help and we’re all in the learning phase. \nIf you want to play with your cool Dragon Lord\, go ahead! But please don’t bring full-meta lists you can already find many discussions of. Consider the enjoyment of your opponent as well and dust off those cool minis or that shiny magic weapon that you love but never bring because “they’re not good enough”. If your army has a coherent theme\, that’s even better! \nThere will be a light narrative side to the games\, to make things even more exciting. It will not change the core experience of the game\, but hopefully spice it up.
