Wicklow Waaagh! 2026

Hello Chancers!

This past weekend of the 27th and 28th, our club hosted the fifth bi-annual Warhammer 40,000 tournament, which is now going by the very snappy ‘Wicklow Waaagh!’.
And it was the very first event run using the new 11th Edition rules, not just in our own Last Chancers club but in all of Ireland!

Despite the heat, we had a wonderful full turn out of twenty players, with people coming from five different gaming clubs to take part in the four game tournament split over two days.

Thank you all for joining us on this wonderful weekend, and making these events a wonderful community experience.

Now to our top three;

The Overall Winner for the weekend was Tristam Hills winning every single one of his games over the two days.

The winner of Best Painted Army for the weekend, was Wicklow’s resident master painter, and chairman of the club Dan Kelly.

And the winner of Most Sporting player was Niall Mulready who came down from the Drogheda Tabletop Lodge, to show us all just what good sports they are up there.

Down below you will find a collection of photos from both days taken by one of our lovely club members who acted as photographer for the day.

Thank you to all who participated, and here’s to the next one!
