Warhammer 40k Doubles Event Report

Hello Chancers,

Iarek here reporting on the Warhammer 40k Doubles Event that took place in the club on the 25th of March. First off, many thanks to the club’s events officer Dan for organising the event.

In total we had 10 participants, each player brought at 1k army, which means there were 4 teams of 2. (The 2 unpaired people played regular games of 40k with 1k a side).

The event was scheduled to start at 12:30, and about 1:15 the dice hit the tables. In no particular order, we had the following armies on the tables:

  • 2 x Ultramarines
  • 2 x Necrons
  • 2 x Blood Angels
  • The Emperor’s Spears
  • Craftworld Eldar
  • Chaos Daemons
  • Tau

Some teams were also remixed through the event, so in two games I managed to play with/against 5 different people, and it was an absolute blast. Compared to 1v1 games, the amount of banter at least triples in the ‘doubles’ setup. The games go a bit slower though, which means prioritising the game flow is key.

As usual, if you’d like to join our future events, keep an eye on the website’s events section, join the club’s Discord server, or follow the club’s Facebook page – see the contact details on the contact page.
